The new Cascade Jet is a heavy duty Stainless Steel injector-type nozzle designed to produce a smooth, yet massive, conical shaped column of highly aerated frothy water. Water and air are mixed inside this robust jet to release a lively, highly visible and wind resistant water column. Whether used in groups or single, these nozzles provide amazing views to every public place.

The pure AISI 304 Stainless Steel construction (or 316 on request) and the inside frictionless design of Cascade Jet offer an excellent flow surface, permitting the use of energy-saving low capacity pumps. In addition, Cascade jet retains all the properties of Stainless Steel against any kind of adversities, offering stylish look, excellent impact resistance, low weight and being literally unaffected by corrosion, tarnishing or rust.

There is a secret star inside every Cascade Jet

It is essentially the result of 42 years of experience, research and continual evolution of our best-seller. This star not only creates a beautiful frothy water feature but also makes much more efficient use of water pressure, compensates pool’s ripples and prevents the entrapment of debris inside the nozzle.

  • Pure Stainless Steel

    The Fontana Cascade Jets are made entirely of AISI 304 Stainless Steel (or 316 on request). This makes them practically invulnerable to corrosion, tarnishing, impacts and any kind of deterioration. It also makes them significantly more energy efficient than competitive bronze ones due to the frictionless inside surface.

  • How Stainless Steel remains... Stainless

    Stainless steel was invented early in the 20th century when it was discovered that a certain amount of the metal chromium (usually a minimum of 11%) added to ordinary steel gave it a bright shiny gloss and made it highly resistant to tarnishing and rust. This rust-resisting property which we call “corrosion resistance” is what sets stainless steel apart from most other forms of steel and alloys. The chromium content of the steel allows the formation of a rough, adherent, invisible, corrosion-resisting chromium oxide film on the steel surface. If damaged mechanically or chemically, this film is rapidly self-healed through a process called “Self-Passivation”, making Stainless Steel nearly impossible to corrode or rust.

  • The Coarse Flow Phenomenon
    or how tremendous amounts of energy are wasted due to imperfect nozzles.

    A major performance killer of cast fountain nozzles is the bumpy inner surface which is responsible for the so-called Coarse Flow Phenomenon. Imagine water as myriads of little water particles coming into a nozzle, moving in one direction. The ones near the nozzle’s inner wall encounter tremendous friction and bounce on the small bumps. As a result, these particles are diverted and start hitting one another, diverting more and more water particles, leading to even more collisions and inevitably affect the overall flow performance of the nozzle. Fontana nozzles are made of pure stainless steel and are precisely manufactured to offer a frictionless, bump-less inner surface for water to flow. In other words, stainless steel nozzles require less powerful pumps to achieve the same water effect compared to inefficient cast bronze, brass or tombac ones.
